As one of todays most exciting ensembles, the Claremont Trio launches their 10th anniversary season at Joes Pub premiering new works from their latest album American Trios (Release Date: 12/09/08). Featuring Emily Bruskin (violin), Julia Bruskin (cello), and Donna Kwong (piano), this exhilarating one-night only concert showcases the CDs five diverse pieces for piano trio representing the richness and varying styles of American music. From the earthy, old-time string band style of Mason Bates String Band to Leon Kirchners poetic Trio and Trio II, American Trios demonstrates the groups incomparable prowess to gracefully balance tradition and modernity.
