The Mesmerist
Paired with a Frisell composition as a world premiere, this exraordinary film, re-edited by director Bill Morrison from a deteriorated nitrate print of The Bells (1926), features Lionel Barrymore as the Innkeeper who in a dream visits a country fair and is exposed as a murderer by the Mesmerist played by Boris Karloff.

Bombshell Bride
Never before screened in the United States, this comedy, accompanied by an origianal score by Bill Frisell, recounts the stuggle of two men, on rich and one poor, for a lovely maiden's affection.

A world premiere performance of scores commissioned by the New York Guitar Festival to A Trip To The Moon and The Eclipse

Since 1999, The New York Guitar Festival has been examining virtually every aspect of the guitar's musical personality. These performances by The Bill Frisell Trio are the opening events of the fifth annual New York Guitar Festival, running from January 14 - February 3.
