On Tuesday, March 16th a curious assemblage of musicians converges upon
The Tank in a cross-section of underground performers. Chicago's Mark
DeNardo blurs the line between the organic and the mechanical with
disarmingly affecting songs delivered with warm vocals and low-res
electronics. Also sailing from the port of Chicago is The William
Young, a creaky vessel with a one-man crew, armed with salt-caked
songs, adrift at sea. New York micromusician Bit Shifter supplies
high-energy, low-bit electronics using a Nintendo Game Boy, generating
pixelated, beat-driven soundscapes, both sweet and hard-hitting. They are
joined by electronica's one and only circus showman and Master of Ceremonies
San Serac...an event not to be missed. Starts early...
