Arrrr, Upcoming.org Be Turning 3

Avast, ye scurvy dogs! Today be Talk Like A Pirate Day, and 'tis a special day indeed -- Upcoming be turning three years olde.

It wasn't so long ago that we launched and threw a little party at Father's Office in Santa Monica. I wore an eyepatch, everyone talked like pirates, and much grog was consumed.

I was feeling a little nostalgic and went looking for some of Upcoming's earliest artifacts... This was the earliest I could find, the very first mockup for Upcoming created in Photoshop. Here's the final result as the site looked in September 2003. And this more recent one from March 2005 is the first mockup of the old event detail page. As we redesign incrementally, every old mockup makes me wince a bit, but I guess they had a scruffy kind of charm.

Ay, we be thankin' ye for sailing the seas with us, and if ye landlubbers be lost, ye best be watching this, matey. ARRR!
